Playa Cas Abao.
Clear turquoise water, swaying palm trees, white sand and thatched umbrellas…. Playa Cas Abao has been declared one of the most beautiful beaches on the island! You can dive, snorkel or get in some sporty action with the kayak here. It is a short drive from the villa, but it is a fun trip and absolutely worth it! Recently they even opened a new restaurant!
Blue bay.
Blue Bay is a beautiful place, near the fishing town of St. Michael northwest of Willemstad. It is the largest beach on the island and you can do some very nice snorkeling and diving. Near the bay is the Blue Bay Golf & Beach resort, where you can rent beach chairs, have lunch and dinner and of course play golf! Lots of shady spots on the beach!
Playa Grandi.
Playa Grandi is a small but idyllic beach on the western tip of the island. This is not the most beautiful beach to lie on, but it is the perfect place to dive and snorkel and spot impressive sea turtles! On the pier, local fishermen trade their freshly caught fish. If you love the underwater world, this is actually a must do.
LionsDive Beach
Near the LionsDive Beach Resort is a beautiful beach that is freely accessible. You pay about 5 guilders per person there for a comfortable sun bed, sun or no sun. There is very friendly service on the beach for a cool drink and on the beach is also Hemingway Beach Bar & Restaurant where you can have lunch, drinks or a romantic dinner.
Playa Porto Mari.
Playa Porto Mari is located near St. Willibrordus. A short drive from the villa, but worth it! Very suitable for a combination of lazing on the beach, swimming in the gently deepening water and snorkeling at the unique double reef. There is a cozy Beach Bar with cool drinks and tasty Beach Bites.
Playa Lagun.
“When you snorkel here, you feel like you’re swimming in an aquarium, that’s how clear the water is.” The beach is small and the atmosphere is therefore cozy, certainly not massive. Chances are you’ll spot water turtles here and see an iguana walking on land. Above the beach, on the rocks, is a restaurant. From the terrace here you have beautiful views!
