The best restaurants.
In Curaçao, there are plenty of restaurants to go out to eat. Jan Thiel and Mambo are well-known spots where the best restaurants are located. There are restaurants where you can eat very local, but also places where you can get everything. There are choices in every price range.
Bapor Restaurant.
Swinging Old Lady.
Koko’s.
A relatively new restaurant, a “hang-out” they say themselves, on Jan Thiel Beach, about 8 minutes from the villa. Open until sunset. Here they serve street food, fresh smoothies, healthy shakes & juices, good coffee and cocktails, among other things! Every Sunday from 4 p.m. the South African Braai goes on, preparing meat and fish, and a DJ provides a relaxed lounge music in the background. A nice place for daytime drinks, lunch and to combine with an afternoon at the beach.
Gouverneur De Rouville.
Beautiful spot in Willemstad, which you walk to from the pontoon bridge. From the front terrace you look at the bridge and at the Handelskade across the street, with its world-famous colored houses. At the back is an attractive courtyard garden with a terrace. You can have an excellent lunch and dinner here and they serve fine wines. On the menu both local and international dishes. Highly recommended!
Villa Vis.
Brakkeput Mei Mei.
This restaurant owes its special name to the mansion, where the restaurant is located on the front terrace. Here, with excellent value for money, you have plenty of choice of meat, chicken and fresh fish from the charcoal grill. Mostly local food and service. At night, the terrace is fairy lit. Mei Mei is about 6 minutes drive from Villa Kas Oraño, nice and easy! Monday night free salsa class and Thursday Lobster Night. Ample parking in front of the door. Don’t forget to tip the guard when you leave.
Boca 19.
Boca 19 is a special location near Santa Barbara Beach, along Spanish Water. The restaurant sits on stilts on the water near a marina and has a nautical atmosphere. You have a beautiful view of the boats and the bay and can enjoy lunch and dinner at a good level. On Sundays it is extra cozy here because then, according to long tradition many boats and boats from the area moor at the jetty and everyone celebrates their own party there. A party to experience!
